This is Blythe News

...yet again.  I know, I'm always swearing that I'll keep up with my site.  This time I mean it (I think).  I'm gonna try my best to bring you Blythe love on a more regular basis.  And if I don't, feel free to complain.  I can take it!!

There's a verrrrry exciting Blythe show headed to New York next month.  It's called 'Lilliput - my little friends' by Theatre Alfort.   Alfort, a Japanese avant-garde art collective, have transformed gallery hanahou (611 Broadway, Suite 703, NYC) into an enchanting world centered around you-know-who.  A tribe of 80 dolls are the centerpiece of this amazing installation.   The opening reception is April 10th from 6 - 9 pm and the show runs through May 14th. I've seen some of Alfort's work and it is breathtaking.  Please swing by if you can.  And just to tease you a teeny bit, here's a peek at what's in store:




And speaking of exciting shows.... my husband Asa is starring in an absolutely astounding off-broadway production called 'Next to Normal' which unfortunately is closing this Sunday.  Not to worry though, it will be back!  No one knows where or when, but trust me, it's too good to leave us so prematurely.  Naturally Blythe had to get in the act before the final curtain came down.  Here she is snuggling up to the amazing Alice Ripley, the star of the show:



I've seen so many shows in my day and I must say, this is in my top 3.  Um no, it's in my top 1.  I LOVE it and have seen it once a week since it opened (obsessive??) --  it's so moving and the talent is as good as it gets.   When it does make it's way back to Broadway or elsewhere PLEASE do yourself a favor and see it.  You'll be thrilled.  By the way, huge thanks to Charlie ( aka Sweaterset) for the bang up job on Blythe's outfit.  xoxo!
