Hey everyone,

Happy Spring!  Hope you're having a sweet one!

I've been busier than ever these last few weeks.  As I mentioned, I spent nearly a month in Palm Springs.  It was MAD hot there!!  Still, I packed my girl up and headed to the desert for a photo shoot or two:

Shortly after this was taken I was told that this part of the desert was swarming with snakes.  Okay, then!  Time to hit the road....

While in PS I worked with a bunch of cool and talented folk.  This group of guys (and a girl) are called 'The Funk Brothers:



They were the backing band for HUNDREDS of Motown hits from 1959 onward and are currently featured in a documentary called 'Standing in the Shadows of Motown'.  Such sweethearts.  On a side note:  for those of you who know about my clog obsession, please peep the silver ones on my feet.  I'm in love!!!

And, I also worked with Jay Leno who asked me if Blythe was related to Flat Stanley.  Um, no.



He's a really  nice guy and what a sport!!

While I was in Cali another fantastic event unfolded.  My Blythe window at The Standard is up!!  Yeehaw!!

Is this gorgeous or what??  The installation will be up til the end of the month so if you're in the 'hood, check it out!

My 'heroes' contest is in full swing.  The entries I've received thus far are OUTRAGEOUS!  The deadline for submissions is May 15th so if you're planning on participating it's time to get crackin'. To submit your girls, please send a jpeg of each one (a max of 3) to gina@thisisblythe.com and I'll upload them into the flickr group I've created here. Voting will take place for one week after the deadline. The winners will be announced on May 23rd.  Hasbro has been kind enough to donate some dolls as prizes and I'll be throwing in a few goodies as well.  You can see the full list of prizes here.  Should be fun!

Now that I'm in NYC, my shop's delivery schedule is back on track.  If you haven't been by for awhile you're really in for a treat.  I've added some amazing handmade goods and lots of dolls to boot!
