September 2003

hi everyone,
well, it's back-to-school time, even for blythe. this year we're both trying to learn japanese. who knew it could be so hard??
PHOTO INFO
i've updated the prints i have for sale in my gallery. as always, if you mention the words 'blythe is my hero' with your order, you'll get a whopping 50% off. AND, the first person to order each print gets the chance to invent its name and go down in blythe history! as soon as the order is placed, i'll upload the name onto the site.
FAO REDUX
it's official: cinnamon girl blythe will be available at FAO Schwarz this fall/winter. check out www.fao.com and enter BLYTHE. cinnamon is a real cutie - she's the first blythe to have a healthy glow, hence her name. blythe sitings in the US have become few and far between, so if you're thinking about getting a doll, this may be your best chance.
BLYTHE (and gina) GO 'ROUND THE WORLD
we're planning on taking a trip to jolly old london in the beginning of october. if anyone is in the UK and is interested in attending a small blythe gathering, drop me an e-mail at gina@thisisblythe.com - the details are still murky at this time. as soon as they're firmed up, i'll let you know. we're also heading over to our twice-yearly visit to tokyo in the beginning of december - AND, i'm excited to report, we'll be taking a side trip to korea. this will be our first trip there. i can hardly wait!
for those of you in asia, check out www.blythedoll.com for news about the upcoming 'mix and match' blythe photo contest. if the participants do half as good a job as the last cwc sponsored contest, i'll be thrilled. there's an awful lot of talent out there.
NEW GALLERY
i've added a fun new gallery called 'miscellaneous blythe goodies'. if anyone has anything to add to it, just send me a jpeg and i'll upload it asap. check it out. it's pretty cool! and, as always, if you have anything for my other galleries, let me know.

WE LOVE 'TABOO'
are you in or near nyc? if so, get ready for a fun fall! 'taboo' is coming to broadway! it's a story of london in the early 80's, focusing on two of my personal heroes, leigh bowery (an anarchic performance artist/designer) and george o'dowd (that's right, boy george of 'the culture club') - both of their stories are played out against the fantastic background of taboo, the club that has come to symbolize the decadence of 1980's london. my husband, asa is in the show and will no doubt do a smack up job. for more info, check out www.tabooOnbroadway.com - if you go to the show there's a great chance you'll see me and blythe in the audience. we plan on spending LOADS of time there!
thank you for all the e-mail i got after my vh1 appearance (especially the few i got from my old high school days! wow!), and, of course, for your continued support. blythe and i could not do this without you.
love all around,
gina & blythe
